Free .edu backlinks ?????? SEO 2012

So ive heard the .edu back links are prized backlinks.

For me an all this stuff being new have been looking around for how to get a .edu backlink
and have found what looks like a way of getting one

i am currently waiting to see if this will make the magic backlink or not.
but fingers crossed an all that.
